We met freshman year at the University of Utah after both being recruited to swim as Utes. Naturally, all the freshman swimmers were eager to meet our new teammates on move-in day. All of us freshman met up in the girls dorm room to get to know each other. It wasn't an instant connection between us since we were each getting our bearings in this new state on this new team.

It wasn't long before we were spending most of each day together starting at morning practice then to the dining hall followed by study hall and repeat for the afternoon. Even with all that time together we were still finding ourselves looking for more. By October, we embarked on our first official date at the Declan McKenna concert downtown. We have been inseparable ever since.

After 7 years together it was no surprise that Brody and Christina were going to get married. Brody's only proposal goal was to surprise Christina and he more than succeeded.

In December of 2023, Christina flew to Georgia to spend the holidays with her family and she thought Brody had done the same in Colorado. She had no reason to believe otherwise when he Facetimed her from his childhood bedroom on Sunday. On Monday night, Christina had dinner plans with her friends in downtown Alpharetta. There was nothing but surprise on her face when she rounded the large Christmas tree to see Brody standing there with a bouquet of flowers and a question.
